I realized that this Bible passage is talking about the Israelites and their trials/tribulations, but I see a strong similiarity to my being in Afghanistan. By no means has it been captivity as listed below, but it has been something completely different and far away from home! I do praise God for the learning experience though and the opportunity to meet so many new people.
Jeremiah 29:11-15
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."
God is constantly challenging me to grow and stay out of my comfort zone. The latest challenge is getting pregnant! What an answer to prayer this has been! Plus Joe and I both started new jobs in July, and it's been run run ever since! Thank you God for all the blessings!
